EMC Compliance for Lift (Complete) under EMC

EMC compliance ensures the product neither generates electromagnetic disturbances above the permitted limits nor is adversely affected by electromagnetic disturbances in its environment. Both emissions and immunity must be assessed.

Emissions limits

Emissions limits restrict the level of electromagnetic energy a product may radiate or conduct onto the mains. The applicable limits depend on the product class (Class A — industrial, Class B — residential) and are specified in product-family standards such as EN 55032 or EN 55011.

Immunity requirements

Immunity tests verify that the product continues to function correctly in the presence of external electromagnetic disturbances. The IEC 61000-4 series defines the key immunity test methods: ESD (4-2), radiated RF (4-3), burst (4-4), surge (4-5), conducted RF (4-6), and voltage dips (4-11).

Test configuration

The test configuration — cable routing, software state, operating mode — significantly affects measured results. The configuration producing the worst-case result must be identified and documented. Any deviation from standard test configurations must be technically justified in the test report.
